Thursday, March 17, 2011

Alright so the newest trend is planning a wedding all by yourself, whether its for financial or personal reasons however, you are missing out on what could be the difference between a hassle free wedding day to the flower girl running away, flower arrangements being misplaced, and unhappy tears on your special day. Listen close: GET A WEDDING PLANNER!!!!!

And here's benefits of having a wedding planner:
Planners can SAVE you money.
We look over contracts to get all that you deserve from vendors.

We have a numerous contacts to get the best deals. More than likely the planner has worked or researched all the florists, venues, djs, and other vendors and can give you client reviews.

Brides can get wrapped up in things like how pretty a venue is or deciding which dish to serve for dinner. On the other hand the planner is sizing up the venue from parking spaces to how the tables should be set up to seat guests comfortably.

I know that brides have their wedding all dreamed up in their heads but when it comes down to hard details, its always great to have someone who knows the wedding industry to lend a helping hand. So don't be shy search around and find a wedding planner near you. Trust me you won't regret it!!!!

Picture the warm, white sand wedged between your toes, the reds, yellows, and oranges as the sun dips below the horizon, and laying in the arms of the one you love. Pristine beaches are just waiting for you to arrive! A big part of a wedding is after the I dos and first dances, we call it the Honeymoon. The honeymoon is a time to enjoy your new spouse in a stress free environment and just being wrapped up in each other. Deciding where to go can sometimes be tricky, however, we have found 5 amazing destinations for the honeymoon.

St. Johns, Virgin Islands
Surrounded by beach after beach, St. Johns offers several activities. Couples can spend the day on the beach or scuba dive or kayaking.

New Zealand
Australia's younger brother, New Zealand is a great couples getaway. Couples can take air tours from private helicopters seeing all that New Zealand has to offer. There are food and wine tours, swimming with dolphins, and much more throughout the lush land.

Bora Bora
Bora Bora is a artist's palette of blues and greens, completely surrounded by sandy beaches. Couples can snuggle up in private overwater bungalows. When you aren't wrapped up in your bungalow, you can take sunset sailboat cruises or ride the waves of jet skiis.

Bali, Indonesia
Clear skies above, crystal waters below make Bali a perfect honeymoon spot. Couples can do anything from white water rafting to cooking classes to couples massages.

Acapulco, Mexico
Just below the United States border is a place of romanticism and excitement in Acapulco, Mexico. Take your pick of cliff diving or private hikes on the beaches. That's just things to do during the day, Acapulco offers many restaurants and entertainment to dazzle you at night.

No worries all the places are filled with exotic wildlife and tons of shopping for the ladies!!!!

Every girl dreams of being a princess and having a fairy tale wedding. Kate Middleton is living the dream! Invitations have been sent, the date is marked, and its all about the fashion. Finding the perfect dress can either be exhilarating and fulfilling or a downright cat fight between comfort and fashion.

Here are some tips from The Veiled Rose to Kate and you on finding the dress that brings tears (of happiness) strolling down rosy cheeks.

Cost: Figure out how much your budget allows for the dream dress. Don't set a strict price but give yourself a limit, with a tiny bit of wiggle room.

Style: Choose a style that makes the most of your natural assets and down plays the things you consider your flaws. Do what makes you feel comfortable and beautiful, because girl you are so BEAUTIFUL.

Fabric: Pick the fabric that matches the season. The dress should match your overall theme of the wedding. It can be very hard planning a wedding around the dress and you don't want your dress to be misplaced.Take into consideration where your wedding is. If you are doing an beach wedding go for a lighter material that breathes with the wind.

Remember its your dream day, have fun with it!

Sweet Tips for your Reception and After Party

Put a sweet twist on your reception or after party.

During the reception cut the cake before dinner so that it can be served as desert and everyone will get a slice, this will also save you money because you won’t have to pay for a desert.

As the reception is winding down have the wait staff pass bite sized deserts on silver trays and have a coffee station with coffee, tea, milk and hot chocolate. This will also get guests up and socializing maybe even back out on the dance floor keeping your party going to the very end.

At the after party greet your guests with a glass of champagne or your signature drink and have wait staff pass bite sized deserts.

During the after party you should serve some type of food. If you don’t want to pay for a full meal you can offer shrimp cocktail in a shot glass, French fries in mini Chinese takeout boxes and bite size hamburgers

The newest trend is now the candy bar. A candy bar can be very economical and can replace the guest favor. Guests can fill small bags or boxes with their favorite candy and take it home for a late night treat. Candy bars are fun for everyone and can be coordinated into your chosen décor or theme.
